I am incredibly grateful to Tamara and the work that she is doing. I have, and still do, feel a lot of shame regarding both of my births, as they were emergency c-sections and the first one in particular was very traumatic. I don’t talk about my births, or look back at pictures, and I certainly wouldn’t consider hanging photographs of them on the wall! With Tamara’s draw
We are so grateful for Tamara’s work. She created a series of three drawings for us that beautifully captured the journey of our birth. Our experience didn’t go as planned—emergencies changed everything in the moment, and the rush meant we weren’t able to take any photos. Having Tamara’s drawings has given us a way to reflect on and remember the process in a meaningful, tangible way.
Each piece tells part of the story, and together they make the memory feel complete and even more special. The thoughtfulness and care she put into the artwork shines through, and it’s something we will treasure forever.
